Q: I would like North Web Design to design my site, what do I need to do now/what’s the next step?

A: If you would like to use our services all you need to do is call us on 01254 390041 to discuss your design brief & requirements. We will then purchase the domain name and activate a hosting package for your project, then with your guidance we will design an initial web page for you to approve.
This is then tweaked in consultation until a satisfactory design has been reached. We will then need you to forward content and images for your site, thus enabling us to complete your design.

Q: How long does it take for a design to be completed?
A: The timescale of a design is dictated by the client. If you have a timescale in mind we will meet it for you. The most common delay in the creation of a site is waiting for content (text/images) to be sent to us by the client.
Q: Do I need to buy a domain name and hosting?
A: No, we do everything for you
Q: How much will it cost?
A: The cost of a website varies, depending upon the type of site you require. A brochure site will cost from approx £129, an eCommerce site from £350. Obviously each site has to be treated on its individual requirements, but these figures should give you an idea.

We request a 35% deposit for all standard sites and 50% for eCommerce sites. The balance of payment is then due on completion of the project.

Payment can be made by cash, cheque, or by using Nochex.

The only ongoing cost will be your annual hosting fee. (all sites packages include hosting for either 1 or 2 years)

Q: What do I get for my money?
A: All our designs are created and conceived from your requirements. All our sites are designed from scratch. So if you want zebra stripes you can have them!
On completion you will receive a full back up of your website and design folder on disc.

Q: Do I need to send a deposit for the work?
A: Yes we generally ask for a 35% deposit from clients
Q: How do I get listed in Google?
A: We submit all websites we design to Google, Yahoo! and all other leading search engines.
Q: What is optimisation?
A: All web pages should be 'optimised'. This will enable your site to gain a high search engine ranking, it revolves around the meta tags and search engine readable content on your web pages, a web page that isn't optimised won't appear in the search engines. We Optimise all our sites in there design.
Q: Will we need to have a meeting?
A: In most cases a meeting isn't necessary, we generally complete are designs with contact via email and telephone only. You are more than welcome to come and see us to discuss your design if you prefer.
Q: What after sales support do you offer?
A: After the completion of a website we are available for after sales service.
Any slight tweaks or amendments are carried out to the site free of charge during your package period (1 or 2 years). Any additions i.e. additional pages, new designs will be charged at a mutually agreed price.
Example: add new page £40, Seasonal promotional imagery creation £15-20
Support after your package period will be charged at an hourly rate of £20. Or alternatively a new support package may be purchased alongside your hosting.
Example: 1 year’s hosting £49, 1 year hosting and support £99

A: No we offer a range of services.
